On these cold winter days everyone likes to stay indoors. When you have multiple kids, that can be a challenge for everyone! Over the long holiday weekend, my kids were starting to go stir crazy and I have to admit, I was a bit stir crazy myself! We finally decided to venture out to the Roseville Galleria Mall to get some exercise and window shop. Luckily, we stumbled upon the greatest facility in the mall – Young Art Lessons!
What kid do you know who doesn’t LOVE to create? And to find a place where you can “drop and shop” at Sacramento’s premier shopping mall…this was a bonus!
We were greeted by the professional staff that helped guide us through the store and to find lessons that were age appropriate for my kids. She proceeded to inform me that every employee has a degree in art and can teach the kids (and adults) how to draw pretty much anything. Young Art Lessons offers drop-in lessons that start anytime. You can choose from 15 minute lessons up to 120 minute lessons throughout the day. Punch cards are available for those who love to create (or those who love to shop and drop).
Prices start at $12.95 and increase depending on time purchased.
We chose to create for 60 minutes, which was enough time for my kids to paint a fire-breathing dragon and crazy Minions. Young Art Lessons offers classes for kids of all ages (under the age of 2 with an adult). They also host birthday parties and summer camps. My kids were very excited to get the hour of uninterrupted painting (without having to clean the mess) and I was happy to get in a little retail therapy. It was a win-win for all of us!
You can find Young Art Lessons at the Roseville Galleria Mall (1151 Galleria Boulevard) on the first floor near the kids play area. They are open Monday – Saturday 10am to 9pm and Sunday 11am to 7pm. Happy Painting!
