For the ninth time, the Amgen Tour of California’s world-renowned cyclists will be whizzing through Sacramento, California’s capital on Saturday, May 19, 2018. This year’s event is especially exciting as Sacramento hosts the final stage of the Tour de France-style competition. Thousands of fans will be lining the streets of downtown Sacramento to catch a glimpse of the world’s best cyclists. In addition to the races – men’s and women’s – there will be Lifestyle Festival where food and drink will be available, as well as a fun bike race for the little kiddos. Amgen will host the Little Strider Rider bike race for kids ages two to five years of age. The Strider Bike Race just might be the cutest thing you’ll have seen in a long time and just may steal the spotlight from the real cyclists. If your child likes to ride around the block, then they’re ready for this race – anyone can enter! All children who would like to participate must have a Strider bike, a helmet and closed-toed shoes.
